The Financial Times is a leading global business news organisation, with subscription-based journalism, data, and analysis. The integration team developed a bespoke cloud solution for automated deployment and configuration of web-based systems to the internal VMWare estate.
At the Financial Times I was part of the integration department as a Puppet/Ruby developer in a DevOps team. My main responsibility was to develop a bespoke cloud solution for the automated deployment and configuration of web-based systems and technologies to the internal VMWare estate. I programmed Puppet manifests, wrote scripts to deploy web, application, and database servers, and automated monitoring and logging.
