As an Amazon Web Services Engineer on contract at OnTheMarket, I worked with the development team to automate the deployment of their web applications, Elasticsearch clusters, log aggregation systems, and Postgres databases to AWS. I used Puppet, CloudFormation, and TeamCity to automate deployment and infrastructure for systems including the Simian Army, Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana, TeamCity, Stash, Jira, and Postgres.

  • AWS services — Used CloudFormation, EC2, S3, IAM, and Billing to design and implement scalable, secure infrastructure.
  • Automation — Built a global Amazon Cloud toolset using Ruby, Python, and the Amazon API for managing and automating AWS resources.
  • CI/CD — TeamCity, Puppet, and internal tools for continuous integration and automated deployment.
  • Systems deployed — Simian Army (resilience testing), ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), TeamCity, Stash, Jira, PostgreSQL.
