Ministry of Justice UK — Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer (Contract)
The UK Ministry of Justice is responsible for courts, prisons, probation, and legal services in England and Wales. The Office of the Public Guardian supports people who lack capacity to make decisions, and uses web applications and cloud services to manage lasting powers of attorney and deputyship.
As a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer on contract at the Ministry of Justice UK, I helped develop and support cloud services for a web application used by the Office of the Public Guardian. The project used Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, Git for configuration management, and Jenkins for deployment, with extensive use of public and private Docker registries and bash, Salt, and Python scripting.
