I served as a Senior AWS Python Developer on contract at Admiral Pioneer, working on AWS serverless infrastructure for two projects: Veygo, a temporary car insurance company, and NalahLife, an intrapreneurial health insurance startup. The role combined Python and Django development with serverless design, data engineering, and integrations such as AppFlow and Salesforce.

  • Serverless tooling — Used Serverless Framework and AWS SAM for deployment and management of serverless applications.
  • Quality — Applied test-driven development (TDD) to keep code quality and robustness high.
  • Observability — Integrated and monitored applications with New Relic for performance and troubleshooting.
  • Integrations — Integrated AppFlow with Salesforce for data sync and automation; developed and maintained CarweB APIs; used TypeFlow and Calendly for forms and scheduling.
  • Data engineering — Used Glue, Athena, and S3 with Python (Parquet, Pandas) for processing, transformation, and analysis.

Delivering serverless AWS solutions for both temporary car insurance and health insurance innovation, with a strong focus on integrations, data, and maintainable Python code.
