Key responsibilities

  • Migration to AWS — Migrated the rental car aggregation site to AWS using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, defining and managing infrastructure for scalability and cost optimisation.
  • Compute & scaling — Used EC2, Auto Scaling, and Image Builder for resilient, automated compute; RDS and ElastiCache for data and caching.
  • Application deployment — Configured and deployed PHP applications using GitLab, CodePipeline, and Docker for version control, CI/CD, and containerisation.
  • Front-end delivery — Deployed single-page applications with CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, and S3 for fast, serverless content delivery and scalable storage.
  • Collaboration — Took part in cross-functional meetings, shared AWS best practices, and supported other teams in using AWS and resolving issues.
  • Tools — Jira, Confluence, Gmail, Windows, and Linux as part of day-to-day delivery.

Successfully moving the rental car aggregation website to AWS improved performance and scalability while establishing clear IaC and CI/CD practices for the team.
